LOKL ("we", "us", "our") is a hyperlocal delivery platform operated by LOKL Technologies, serving Paratwada, Achalpur and surrounding areas in Maharashtra, India. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information we collect

Name, mobile number, and delivery address when you place an order.
Location (latitude/longitude) with your consent, to detect your delivery zone and show relevant shops.
Order history and transaction details.
Device information and browser type for security and debugging.
Shop owner details (business name, email, mobile) for partner accounts.

2. How we use your information

To process and fulfil your delivery orders.
To show you shops and products available in your area.
To send order status notifications (push, WhatsApp) that you opt into.
To improve our service, detect fraud, and ensure platform security.
To comply with legal obligations.

3. Information sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only as needed to operate the service:

Your delivery address and mobile number are shared with the assigned rider for delivery.
Order details (no payment info) are shared with the partner shopkeeper.
We use Supabase (database), ImageKit (image storage), and PhonePe (payments) as service providers, each bound by their own privacy policies.

4. Location data

We request your location only to determine your delivery zone and to give riders your drop-pin coordinates. Location data is used solely for order fulfilment. We use low-accuracy network location for zone detection; high-accuracy GPS is requested only at checkout for the delivery pin, with your explicit browser permission.

5. Data retention

Order records are retained for 7 years for accounting and legal compliance. You may request deletion of your personal profile data by contacting us at imlokl.app@gmail.com. Order financial records cannot be deleted due to statutory requirements.

6. Security

We use row-level security (RLS) on our database so your data is accessible only through authenticated service routes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment processing is handled entirely by PhonePe — we never store card or UPI credentials.

7. Children

LOKL is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Continued use of LOKL after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered shopkeepers of material changes via email.
